THE CARPENTERS ARMS
The Carpenters Arms has been part of the community for over 250 years - and it’s still very much a proper local.
At the front, you’ll find the bar just as it should be: a place for locals to drop in, have a pint, and catch up. Round the back, there’s more space for getting together - whether that’s a family meal, a big birthday, or something worth celebrating.
We’ve kept the character of the building where it matters, with exposed beams, warm wood and open fires, but given it a fresh feel throughout. The glass restaurant at the back brings in plenty of light and gives the whole place a bit more room to breathe.
There’s an open kitchen serving food every day, so whether you’re here for a quick bite or a proper sit-down, you’re sorted.
FOOD AND DRINK
Complementing the modern interiors is a modern British menu. Dishes change with the seasons using the best produce available. We’ve teamed up with our favourite local suppliers and makers to create vibrant and wholesome flavours in a relaxed setting.
Whether you fancy a quick, tasty bite to eat or a celebratory three course supper, our team pride themselves on their imaginative and varied menus.
STAY AND UNWIND
Not just a pub, but a pub with cosy bedrooms. We have four - beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished rooms, ready for a memorable stay. Amenities in our bedrooms include flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities, WIFI and Connock England products.
Many of our rooms have been thoughtfully designed to be pooch perfect, bedding and treats are available for your four legged friend.
WAGGING TAILS WELCOME
Miles of woodland and the village common provide excellent adventures for furry friends. Perfect for snuffling, scampering and then back for a snooze and supper in the bar.
We have a special menu that caters for our four legged guests. Including home-cooked sausages and bottom-sniffer beer!
For those who have time to stay a while, our three Good bedrooms are all dog friendly.
